Clubhouse   Due to the global COVID-19 outbreak, the Clubhouse is temporarily closed.
The clubhouse is an air conditioned facility that is open daily, hours vary according to the season.  Current hours are posted at the clubhouse.  During the summer season (Memorial Day to Labor Day) homeowners and guests are required  to sign in; Management will supply the Recreation staff with an electronic list of eligible homeowners and their guests which will allow access.  The clubhouse offers a game room with video games for kids and kids at heart.  We also offer a pool table, TV's, and a snack bar which is open daily during the summer season only.  In consideration of all Pirate's Cove residents and guests, please treat this facility as if it were your own home.  Smoking is not permitted inside the clubhouse.
Approval of all bookings of PCHA amenities will be sought from the recreation director of PCHA (Brenda Paul).  The Clubhouse will remain open to other homeowners who may want to use the facilities, even during booking times.  As of January 1, 2020, Homeowners will be charged a rental fee for the booking of the Clubhouse, Homeowners' Pool or Harvey M. York Pavilion for events over 20 people. A refundable damage/cleaning fee of $125.00, payable to PCHA by personal check, will be due at the time of booking.  If the facility is damaged/not clean after the event, the $125.00 fee will be retained by PCHA for repair/cleaning charges. The clubhouse also offers a pool and hot tub that is open to homeowners and guests daily during the swimming season.  For our smaller children we provide a kiddie pool.  Hours are posted at the pool.  Glass containers, bottles, etc. are prohibited.  Please be advised that there are no lifeguards on duty so, swim at your own risk.  Children 12 and under must be accompanied by an adult.  For safety and enjoyment for all, please observe the pool rules which are clearly posted at the pool.

Homeowners' Pool
The homeowners' pool is open daily during the swimming season.  This pool is for homeowners of record and their immediate families and accompanied guests.  Immediate family includes: parents, children, grandchildren, brothers, sisters and their children.  All homeowners must sign in; Management will supply the Recreation staff with an electronic list of eligible homeowners and/or the homeowners immediate family members which will allow access. Immediate family members wishing to use the homeowners' pool without accompanied by the homeowner of record, must stay at the homeowners' Pirate's Cove property.  Homeowners need to fax to the administrative office (252) 473-4200; Attention Renee Parrish, or email rparrish@pirates-cove.com written consent by providing the names and dates of stay of immediate family members wishing to use the homeowners' pool.  Children 12 and under must be accompanied by an adult.  Please be advised that there are no lifeguards on duty at the pool so, swim at your own risk.

Tennis Courts
Pirate's Cove also provides two tennis courts next to the clubhouse for your pleasure.  All players are to sign up on the sheet inside the clubhouse.  Courts may be reserved no sooner than 24 hours in advance to play time.  To make your reservation please call the clubhouse and speak with a staff member at 473-6366.  When others are waiting, playing time will be limited to 1 hour and 30 minutes, adults (18 years and older) shall have the priority on the courts over junior players.  These priorities shall yield to special scheduled events (i.e. tournaments, clinics, etc.). PCHA has a battery-operated tennis ball machine, tennis balls, hopper and a ball mower for homeowners' use, free of charge. These items (along with instructions) are stored in the clubhouse in a storage closet behind the large wall clock. The key to the closet is kept at the front gate and homeowners may sign the key out and return the key to the front gate after use. The battery is located in the closet and needs to be mounted on the outside of the ball machine prior to use and then recharged upon return. Please be sure that all items are returned to the storage closet and that the closet is locked after use. If there are any issues that need to be addressed, please advise the front gate staff so the Management can be notified immediately.
Fitness Center   In order to comply with Executive Order 195, all owners/guests using the Fitness Center will be required to wear a face covering at all times while in the facility.
Pirate's Cove provides a state of the art fitness center.  It offers a variety of different machines for your use: exercise bikes, stairmaster machines, treadmills, universal machine and free weights.  We also offer an area with hardwood floor for aerobic exercise.  Under 18 must be accompanied by an adult or guardian at all times.  Anyone 14 and under are not allowed in the facility.  Please limit your cardiovascular use to 30 minutes if others are waiting.  Proper conduct and attire are required at all times and use towels to wipe off equipment after use.

Harvey M. York Pavilion
We provide a covered outdoor facility beside the fitness center for homeowners and guests.  It offers a charcoal  grill and picnic tables.  Beside the fitness center there is a fire pit  to roast those hot dogs and marshmallows.

The new recycle stations are now operating at the Buccaneer Village Building #7 and Sailfish Point locations. Please remember that the Village Landings and Hammock Village recycle locations are now closed. All large items that need to be disposed of must be dropped off at either of these locations.  

Here is a list of items that can be recycled:

#1 plastics (water and soda bottles – look for the recycle symbol on the bottom of the 
product and find the number located inside)

Envelopes (manila, regular and windowed)
Playground  All owners/guests ages 5 and over using the playground will be required to wear a face covering if it is not possible to consistently be physically distant by more than six ( 6) feet from non-household members.
There is a fenced in playground for our small children to enjoy:  swings, rock blocks, rocking turtle and duck, etc.
Pirate's Cove Gatekeepers
The Front Gate is open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.  Visitors passes are issued through the Front Gate.  Pirate's Cove Front Gate is located between Sextant Village and the Sales, Rental/Administrative Office, the phone number is (252) 473-5553.
